If so the FDC offers full-time employment with on-the-job training for one to be successful in Corrections including a 160-hour onboarding program followed by a 13-week Corrections Academy.
Take your first step in the field of Criminal Justice with the FDC where the opportunities for promotion are endless! The FDC is the third largest state corrections system in the US and the largest state agency in Florida.
The Department has twenty-five thousand authorized positions, 80 percent of which are in either Certified Correctional Officers or probation officers.
No experience is necessary to apply, and all training is provided.
Compensation:
$22 hourly based on a standard 8.
5-hour shift schedule Correctional Officers are responsible for the supervision, care, custody, control, and physical restraint, when necessary, of inmates in a Correctional Institution or facility.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Be at least 18 years of age (no maximum age restriction) Be a United States Citizen Possess a high school diploma or equivalent Possess a valid driver's license Not have been convicted of any felony or of a misdemeanor involving perjury or a false statement, nor have received a dishonorable discharge from any of the Armed Forces of the United States.
Any person who, after July 1, 1981, pleads guilty or nolo contendere to or is found guilty of a felony or of a misdemeanor involving perjury or a false statement shall not be eligible for employment or appointment as an officer, notwithstanding suspension of sentence or withholding of adjudication.
Pass a medical examination and drug test.
Have a good moral character as determined by a background investigation.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
