We are currently seeking a Manufacturing and Production Planning Manager for our in-house chemical blending facility.
The Manufacturing and Production Planning Manager will be responsible for overseeing staff, generating the production plan, dividing workload, and delegating tasks.
The ideal candidate is a skilled and organized professional who can effectively lead a team in the manufacturing of high-quality chemicals.
The Manager will work under minimal supervision, which allows for a high level of effectiveness, initiative, and autonomy.
Manufacturing and Production Planning Manager's
Responsibilities:
Creates production plan/schedule in SAP based on MRP.
Plans work order sequencing to optimize usage of blending equipment and staff.
Reschedules production orders to expedite urgent/new orders that have critical timelines.
Provides product availability for build-to-order products to Customer Service.
Creates and distributes Production Orders to manufacturing floor.
Reports completed Production Orders in SAP.
Responsible for identifying production staffing levels.
Ensures that manufacturing and packaging procedures are followed.
Ensures tanker loading and unloading procedures are followed.
Organizes inventory cycle counts, manages inventory FIFO.
Coordinates with Purchasing, Quality, and Logistics teams to ensure a timely supply of raw materials.
Coordinates with QC Manager to resolve manufacturing quality issues.
Performs root causes analysis and implements preventive actions for any missed shipments linked to planning.
Responsible for identifying methods and practices to improve manufacturing, storage, and shipping efficiencies.
Execute necessary precautions to ensure safety and compliance with Company, OSHA, and other standards and regulations.
Work closely with Industrial Technician to schedule PM's and resolve equipment failures.
Cleanliness and safety of all work areas and warehouse.
Ensured thorough investigations for all injuries and incidents, following-up with consistent discipline and retraining.
Environmental compliance - enforces the following:
Neutralization of waste chemicals, Proper disposal of wash water, Maintenance of dust collectors.
Continuous improvement through optimization, changes in procedure, etc Ensures that company policies are followed.
