Responsibilities:
Report for duty as scheduled.
Maintain current DOT medical certification.
Maintain valid class A CDL & acceptable MVR.
Perform daily vehicle inspections as per SMI policy.
Operate all equipment in a safe and professional manner.
Maintain superior customer service through communication and positive attitude.
Physical Requirements:
1. May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time and demonstrate manual dexterity while performing job duties.
2. Receives and follows detailed instructions.
3. Must be able to concentrate for extended periods of time, paying attention to detail.
4. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
5. Requires frequent ability to move freely
6. Driver must meet Department of Transportation physical qualifications of 49 CFR 391.41
7. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
8. Must have ability to push, pull or drag pallet jacks.
